Darien Harris - Hagans

A native Houstonian, Darien attended Houston Christian University on a Track and Field scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration. While working as an analyst for a database marketing company, he was inspired to pursue a law career after volunteering as a grassroots organizer for a Texas-based nonprofit organization. Darien attended Notre Dame Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Legislation, constitutional law teaching assistant, and Assistant Rector for Notre Dame’s Carroll Hall dormitory in addition to representing indigent clients at Notre Dame’s Legal Aid Clinic.

After graduating from law school, Darien clerked for a federal district court judge in Texas’s Southern District. His practice experience spans from education law and commercial litigation to insurance coverage and labor & employment law, having represented school districts, insurers and policy holders, small businesses, and multinational corporations.

Darien listens to his client’s specific needs and pulls from his broad experience to find efficient solutions to their problems.

In 2024, Darien was recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 attorneys in Texas by the National Black Lawyers association.
